Grace and peace in Christ to you,
Note: Given Paul’s longstanding ill health resulting from the multiple attacks on him, these prayers are taken from the last several years of Paul’s journey with our Lord. They are incredibly valuable to witness his ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Listen below for the prayer:
Morning, our Commander-in-Chief. We salute You. We honour You.
We stand to attention.
If all anyone could do was produce the sort of scale and performance and value of the sun, with the earth and its moon rotating consistently to the millisecond… if that’s all another human being could do… I’d be tempted to worship that person, Father. I’d definitely be saluting them!
I’d definitely be admiring them. I would definitely be totally in awe of them, if that’s all they ever did, they did that.
But if I met someone and I knew, absolutely knew, they could produce that level of scale, precision, entrepreneurship where it runs systemically, but you see, Father, what’s more amazing than that is that You created someone who is a spirit, eternal and infinite, and three persons in one! Complex, not something the human mind can even get to on his own, and let alone understand it on their own, let alone understand it even with Your help on their own, you know, with Your presence and Your help on their own.
Father, it’s phenomenal, and the more we increase our awareness of You in relation to the awareness of ourselves, we see how puny man is. We see how puny we are.
And we stop looking for validation, we stop looking for approval from man.
When you realise how puny, how fragile, how pathetic humans are, Father, when I realised it, to the degree I realised it, to the degree I became self-aware in relation to Your presence and Your consciousness, and interdependently and synergistically worked with Yours, I no longer seeked approval to myself.
You see, Father, what you’ve taught me is to seek approval to yourself is very toddler.
To seek approval of yourself means that in order to override, supersede our imperfection, we have to lie to be approved. We cannot approve of ourselves if we lie. If we lie, what sort of approval is that anyway? Yet we lie, and through that brand-making, we become approved.
But it’s based on lies, based on illusions, based on delusions, based on stories, based on toddlership.
You see, Father, what you’ve shown me is what the BBC and what the media are doing is an extension of who they are as individuals, creating brands at the expense of other people, breaking down playground antics, man, this is childish. And these people, through Your help, for Your glory, are showing, yes, through us and others, in Your service, in Your army, in Your war machine, in Your war chest of value and consciousness, You are showing them at the BBC how little they actually are, how small and puny and pathetic they actually are.
But I don’t look for their approval. I’m not looking for my approval. And I’m not looking for Your approval.
I’m looking for Your blessing, for Your grace, and Your atonement. I’m looking for Your love. At the end of the day, the bottom line is this.
I’m not looking for approval, Father. I’m looking for atonement. I’m looking for direction.
The only approval I’m looking for, Father, is approval in You. We just want to get this job done, right? We want to build the kingdom. Get done with it.
Never having to say no when we ought to say yes. This is what growing up means, when you stop looking for approval from mummy and daddy, which extends to husband-mummy and daddy, then wife-mummy and daddy, and child-mummy and daddy, or reverse parenting from children, wanting approval from your child, wanting to be more than daddy, daddy more than mummy, mummy more than daddy, sibling wanting mummy’s attention more than other siblings. Oh my goodness, Father, like what is going on!? It’s vanity!
Nonsense. Let’s get on with it, man! It’s what You’re saying, Father, through Your whole word, from beginning to end.
Eve was is looking for validation. Eve was looking for attention. You know? It’s like, what!? The whole of society is in a terrible two-phase.
Let’s get ourselves in context! Let’s get ourselves a perspective. Let’s get ourselves in the way of the truth and the life, because the only time You would approve of us, Father, is through Your own work, not through mine!
So what does my approval got to do with it? Like I’m somebody, like I’m it now, you know? I can red pen Your decisions, Your choices. I can second guess who You are and design You around me. Oh my goodness, are you crazy? Are you crazy, world, that we do this?
Father, please, thank You so much for this perspicuity that we can pray like this, and that prayers are more than just Santa Christ and Jesus Claus. It’s actually a relational, an acceptance, a love, an appreciation of Your perspicuity in us. Not our perspicuity in You, Yours in us.
To just sit with it, with these truths, in the silence of our own souls, with you in silence, knowing you are God. Just sit still.
Just for one minute here, just with with what this prayer means in our souls. One minute, just to sit together, Father.
[One minute silence with God]
Yeah…
I ask You to bless this call, Father.
We pray for this every day and every day You deliver. It’s astonishing, and you’ve got to be really numb and dumb to think it’s coincidence. I’ll leave that with You, my Lord and Saviour, and we ask You to accept our repentance and deliver a deeper atonement and contrition and realisation, and out of that comes joy.
We ask You this, through Your Son, Jesus Christ’s name,
Amen.
Godโs grace to you,

Lord, please help me be rid of my old self, my old ways, my old fears and help me place all my faith in You in the everyday moments and the more testing times. Thank You for showing me more and more the reality of this world and who we really are, and who You really are. You are so merciful.
Amen. A needed reminder to stop chasing peopleโs approval and stand firm in Godโs truth instead.
Amen. Once again I appreciate the reminder of the incredible precision with which our Heavenly Father has created the entire Universe… not only that, but the time and space to host it and all that’s beyond these dimensions into the eternal and the infinite!
This video got me started on seeing the reality of God around a decade ago: The Fine-Tuning of the Universe.
Amen – Heavenly Father please help me to see the areas of my life that the blob hides me from and to repent in these areas with deeper contrition.
Father, I pray for the greatest possible faith and the greatest possible belief. Please continue to help me open my eyes to what I am doing, where I as going wrong and the mistakes I am making. I pray in Your name, Amen
Amen. To seek our own approval is the height of satanic action. Thatโs what made Lucifer Satan. God bless this message in this wonderful prayer.
Amen ๐ thank you for helping us draw closer to Christ through these impeccable truths.. God bless you and us all.
Amen ๐
When I consider how inconceivably huge the universe really is, I realise how tiny any achievement by mankind really is. May God bless us all. Amen.
Thank You, Father. Please strengthen my heart so that I may stand firm in faith and courage. Grant me discernment to recognise what is true, even when it is difficult or uncomfortable. Help me to remain steadfast and guided by Your Spirit in all that I do.
Amen.
Father, thank You that true security lies in You, thank You that absolute truth lies in You and that we can trust You totally and infinitely ๐
It says so much of the hubris and arrogance in us human beings that we have such delusions of grandeur to think we are so much more powerful, more intelligent and sophisticated beings than we really are, especially when compared to the greatness and vastness of all creation. In our fallen state we are so so so so far from that. How wonderful it is then to humble ourselves to our God, to recognise and draw closer to His glory in prayer, to feel how small we really are and how incredible He is and that it is to be able to speak with Him and know Him. Thank you for this prayer and God bless all who know and/or seek the truth in God ๐
