Paul S Waugh’s Daily Prayer – Learning From Satan’s Downfall – 24th Feb, 2026

Grace and peace in Christ to you,

Note: Given Paul’s longstanding ill health resulting from the multiple attacks on him, these prayers are taken from the last several years of Paul’s journey with our Lord. They are incredibly valuable to witness his ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Listen below for the prayer:

Father, thank You for this privilege. Again, thank You again.

At a renewed level, for sure, given Your spirit, Your love, Your care, Your patience, Your mercy, Your love in its constructive eternal and infinite brilliance.

When you say “God”, what does that mean? What does that mean? Ah… those who believe in God. Yeah, Satan believes in God. Satan believes in You, the Son, the Holy Spirit, the angels, heaven, the Kingdom, from time immemorial. From his inception as a being, by Your grace.

And I say grace because Satan is very valuable to us, in that he is the absolute pinnacle of a learning curve project for humanity. Without a Satan, there would be no learning curve. And that means we’d always be in limbo waiting for it to happen.

And You started that “letting it happen” bit way before anyone here on this call was born. And here we are.

And You, Father, with all due respect in the world, You own our bottoms, lock, stock, and two smoking cheeks! Especially when kicked by You.

So Father, I leave this in Your care and keeping. We ask You to bless this call. We ask You to look after the vulnerable while we’re on it, as we ask You when we’re not on it.

So we thank You, Father, through Your Son, given our repentance, in Jesus Christ’s Name, Amen.

God’s grace to you,

Paul S. Waugh

Amen. I appreciate the recognition of the incredible grace that God provides, including the opportunity to learn through Satan’s attacks on God through humanity.

Such a profound distinction about Satan here. How little we ever think on and consider this side of things. The more we understand our enemy though the more he teaches us about the glory and the majesty of our Lord and our God!

I am so fragile and dependent on so much to even exist. Father, please help me see how much I need You. Help me know the reality of Satan and the evil he is, so that I can live in You light forever and help others do the same. Amen.

Amen. What a powerful message. It truly feels like a paradigm shift to reflect on the role of Satan in a different light and to recognise that the presence of evil in the world can, paradoxically, draw us closer to God. Confronting darkness can deepen our awareness of truth, strengthen our faith, and remind us of our need for His guidance.

God is the Creator of all things, the universe, this world, and each one of us. Praise God.

Amen 🙏 To know who we belong to is again another privilege and what I need to remember as I move out of the gravitational pull of the Escamblishment.

Amen. A powerful reminder of how pride and deception lead us away from God.
