Paul S. Waugh’s Daily Prayer – Finding Rest In God’s Eternal Security – Dec 2, 2025

Good evening everyone,

Here’s today’s Daily Prayer:

Let’s pray.

Father, we come before you as your servants, your warriors in you. We come before you, Father, blessed, graced, and protected—with our entire eternity secured—yet attacked for your atonement, for your sacrifice, for your love, for your self-extension, for your care, for your absolute regard for our wellness, our futures, our happiness, our safety, our security, and our eternity.

No one ever has or ever will go as far beyond the call of anybody’s duty as you have. To sit here knowing our eternity is safe, to know that our eternity is wonderful, to know that whatever suffering or hardship we face at any time will pale into insignificance compared to the joyful experience of simply being in your Spirit.

And when we say “just,” we often think of what we will get because of our materialistic minds. But truly, Father, it is simply being in your presence—and while we must wait for the fullness of that presence, we do not have to wait for your presence now. It begins here. And if we hesitate between choosing you and material things, then we are toddlers who do not deserve you or both.

So, Father, we thank you for everything. We thank you for your love, your kindness, and your direction. We know that you, in good faith, have provided us with good, righteous, wholesome, natural, godly, theochristological, human, material, financial, and financial areas where faith is needed—areas where faith is overlooked, ignored, not seen, not understood, and not wanted.

I ask you to forgive our many sins and shortcomings. We ask you this in your Son Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.

God’s grace to you,

Paul S. Waugh

What a beautiful prayer inspiring true strength in God, by recognising the gift he gave us, the fortitude we gain by realising he gift and love for us. God bless you for sharing. Amen x x

So often I get caught up in day-to-day fears, worries and busyness, and I forget to step back and look at the eternal picture. There is so much to appreciate and to be thankful for, and I need to open my eyes more to admire God’s creation. Thank you for this prayer and for these realisations. God bless.

Reminds me of one of my favourite portions of scripture…

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. – 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

This prayer calls out the reality that I am far too focused on the material despite what’s laid out in scripture about the reality of this world. I pray to be seeking first God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness because that’s something I can do today, throughout the day…
