Grace and peace in Christ to you,
Note: Given Paul’s longstanding ill health resulting from the multiple attacks on him, these prayers are taken from the last several years of Paul’s journey with our Lord. They are incredibly valuable to witness his ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Listen below for the prayer:
Father, we come before You as a group, as a community, as a fraternity, as Your Body in Christ, to thank You for bringing us safely through the night.
We ask You with gratitude, and we ask You in gratitude, on the back of and through and with repentance, through Your forgiveness, through Your undeserved kindness.
You know, Father, I’ve realised something very profound about prayer, that You want us to pray for us, not for You.
Such an emphasis on prayer through all Your servants, Moses, Noah, David, Solomon, all the kings, all the prophets, all the judges, Jesus Himself! In the flesh, could not sustain His flesh without prayer. So important did You find it, Father, to pray while You were encumbered with flesh, as much of a gift and a joy that is in You. You went into the desert for 40 days and 40 nights.
It’s like you’ve put me through this here and us through this here. And I’ve never sat with such a resignation to the truth, to Your work, to Your thoughts, to the inevitability of that everything we will do from here will succeed.
And only we can mess that up by not relying on You, having faith and belief in You.
And that takes prayer, more than work. And if prayer is work to us, it’s because we’ve got way too much of us still in the Luciferian swamp. You have given prayer to us, Father.
And You’ve given prayer to flesh, because when in flesh and not in spirit enough, prayer is important. And when in spirit enough, prayer is the medium of spirit. It’s not the medium of flesh.
Flesh fights prayer. Flesh fights communication that is righteous, that is good, that is healthy. It’s… To the flesh, prayer is boring.
To the spirit, it is everything. It is the most stimulating, beautiful thing in the world!
How do I know that prayer is not for You, Father? It’s for us, entirely for us, not for You at all.
Because, Father, You know what we want before we say it. You know what we want before we say it. You know what we want, whether we say it or not.
You know what we want and need. Eternally and infinitely more than we even know or understand what we want and need. You know.
We don’t need to pray to You to inform You. We pray to You to inform ourselves. Prayer is not about You, Father, it’s about us!
That involves you. It’s 100% for us, not You at all. You’re fine without our prayers.
Probably better off, actually, to be fair!
Yet You sit patiently and You’re all-knowing and you give us this freedom that I afford no one because of my interjection. I do not have the patience and the tolerance that people talk nonsense to me for, I don’t know, 4,000 years like You do.
I mean, You’re remarkable, Father! You’re remarkable that you would allow that. Prayer is for us.
It’s 100% for us. And 100% needed, not 99! Not giving it 1% importance when it’s 100% needed.
That’s Level 1. All Level 1s give prayer 100% importance, when it’s 100% needed. There’s no one who takes prayer 100% seriously that stays at Level 1. And I get this. You don’t need us to pray, Father, for You.
You don’t need us to glorify You to be glorious. You don’t need our thanks for You to feel fulfilled and complete and holy and wholesome.
Father, You know everything about us.
You know what we’re going to do next. You know what we’re going to do tomorrow. You know how we’re going to fail and fall.
You know how we’re going to learn from it. You know whether we’re going to hell with all the great ideas of us going to the Kingdom. You know where what’s going…
You know what’s going down. And you know what’s going up, left, right, in, out. You know.
When we pray, You know what we’re going to pray. You know what we’re going to say. You don’t need our prayers.
But You want them. And You want them because You want Your children to talk to You without interruption. The love of that is beyond measure!
And when we’ve prayed enough, You’ll talk back. Once You’ve let us talk, once You’ve let us babble on, more Babylonian than anyone else, anything else, You will then invite us into Your home as your children where we will go home to our Father. And then You will speak to us like this.
And it will just be just mind-blowing, literally mind-blowing, you know. Mind-blowing! We’ll literally have to wear hard-hats because our brains would explode.
Bar Your grace. And then we realise that prayer is 100% for us, not about You at all. Because you know we 100% need it.
And that you 100% know what we’re going to say anyway. It stops becoming this brainless, mindless, obligatory thing. And it becomes breathing air.
It becomes like consistently drinking water or hydrating consistently. Consistently hydrating, consistently breathing well, consistently sleeping well, is the precursor to energy, to health.
All the vitamins in the world won’t help you if we’re not getting consistent levels of air, consistent levels of water, and consistent levels of sleep!
It doesn’t matter how many vitamins or how much nutrients we take. It can’t be used. Those three things is where the energy comes from.
Then our food works. Then supplements make sense. But most people don’t get consistent levels of water.
It’s not well-managed. Most people don’t get consistent levels of air, well-managed, and know less about it. They didn’t learn it in their upbringing although they think they had an upbringing, we didn’t learn that in our upbringing, how to breathe and eat and sleep, as a precursor to nutrients. And just like we need those three things, we need prayer!
Through the Holy Trinity. And I’ll leave You with that, Father, and ask You to please keep us in Your care, Your love, and Your attention, my Lord. Please help us to be thankful.
Grant us the perspicuity to see You in every single problem, in every single solution, every bit of value and anti-value to see You directly or indirectly. See You in everything!
And then the dream is gone. It’s over. And we start to live value.
In some feted pipe, through your Son Jesus Christ’s Name. Our Lord and Saviour. Our Dad, our Father.
Amen.
Godβs grace to you,

Amen. Thank you so much Paul for this wonderful prayer. May God bless you in your health, recovery and healing. Lots of love x x
Father, please help me to embrace ardent prayer and become the most devoted I can be in prayer to You, to know You, love You, communicate with You, listen to and follow You. Thank you Paul for your love and service to God.
Amen. What an incredible gift our Heavenly Father has given us in prayer… something He doesn’t need, but He wants. Not only that, but He sent His Son to ensure we had this opportunity to communicate with Him.
Thank You Lord for Your guidance in prayer and for how it helps us all to come closer and serve better. Amen
Men – Heavenly Father please help me to pray more to you every day with greater quality and conviction and depth. Please bless me and the rest of your body with your grace π
Such a valuable and important message from Paul, to value and appreciate the importance and meaning of prayer. When I think on it, it does blow me away that we have a direct communication channel to our almighty eternal and infinite creator. That is just… wow. Father thank you for the wonderful gift of prayer, that we need for ourselves, to rise out of our flesh and into the spirit to speak with You. Please help us to walk with You more deeply in prayer this day and please feed Paul and all of us with your spirited streams of water as we do, so we can join in fellowship with You in increasing love, joy and peace. In Jesus’s name, amen π
Thank you for helping me to see the deep value of prayer in my life and for helping me draw closer to our Father.
I pray that we come together as the Body of Christ and that we can serve those in need. Amen.
Amen. Thank you for this prayer β such a needed reminder that prayer isnβt optional or occasional, itβs essential. We depend on it more than we realise. x x x x

Amen!! Thank you for highlighting to us how flesh fights what is good in us, our connection with God, through prayer. What a blessed prayer, it brought me closer to God, while educating me, which also is bringing me closer to God. A double blessing, thank you.
