Grace and peace in Christ to you,

Listen below to Paul’s Daily Prayer:

Father, our Commander in Chief, Dad, our mentor, coach, counsellor, leader, teacher, our role model, our everything…

Following you as a command, as an invitation, as a directive, as wisdom, is only preceded by the confide of prayer. The confidence that comes with prayer, the confidence that comes with praying with Your Word.

Father, I started praying early days. I started praying at six, seven years old. I started with my relationship with You that I know of.

Little did I know it started in the womb, You liberated me from that threat. But I’ve never, ever, ever felt the power of prayer. Ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, through Your Logos, through Your Word.

Now I really do understand that it’s living. To read through prayer is not just a mental thing, it’s emotional, it’s spiritual, it’s physical, it’s holistic.

So, Father, I am genuinely so blessed for it all.

Really, so blessed. And we are all becoming cognisant through the perspicuity of not only that blessing emotionally and mentally, but in terms of our work, our output, the value we build, the inside and outside our own door. I just don’t see how You would say, feed that child, but not that child. All children! And so, I also don’t see why You would say, well, let them suffer, because if you don’t let them suffer, then people won’t see that, and therefore, Lucifer gets the credit. Or if you feed them, Lucifer gets the credit. If you don’t feed them, they don’t learn the lesson. Seriously!?

I just don’t see You ever wanting me… Your commandment is to look after widows and orphans, not one or two, all of them! Inside and outside our own door. So, we’re moving forward with this one, Father.

We ask You to bless us, bless this day, bless this call, bless our hearts, grace them.

We ask You for Your protection. We thank You for the protection You’ve given us.

We ask You for Your guidance and thank You for the guidance You’ve given us.

We ask You for all the things You’ve given us, that we’ve taken for granted, because we don’t even know it’s You, but You do it anyway. And to the degree we’re in toddler mode, more so.

So, we thank You for those times, Father, and we ask You also, for all the times You will, today and tomorrow and forevermore, grace us with Your blessing, without even our perspicuity, without even our cognisance, without even our realisation. We thank You for this, Father, and we ask You this through Your Son, Jesus Christ,
