Paul S. Waugh’s Daily Prayer – A Prayer of Repentance and Surrender from the Ego into God’s Presence – Dec 8, 2025

Good evening everyone,

Here’s today’s Daily Prayer:

Father, we thank You, we really, really thank You for the clarity for where we are, Your blessings, we are so undeserving. You know—and I say that because where we know we’re undeserving is maybe 1% of 1%. We don’t even know where we’re undeserving. But I’ll tell You what I do know: I know that 99.999% of where I’m undeserving, I don’t know about, but I know it’s there. I know it’s there. I know it’s there. Just like I’ve always known You were there. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I’ve always known You were there—outside of any religion, any denomination, any church, any book, including the Bible. I’ve always known You were there, and I’ve always had that intuition.

So Father, we pray for the week ahead. How can we take this whole experience and everything we’ve learnt here and help everyone else who is being picked on by the state or picked on by anybody, and held before a government body, a weaponised agency, or the police—a weaponised agency—or a court—a weaponised agency—or whatever it may be?

How can we help others from this? How can we take this experience and help others? How can we do this in Your glory? Because it is glorious. And because in Your grace, the most profound things have happened that demonstrate not only Your reality and Your presence, but Your love—Your love and Your gloriousness. Because, Father, with all due respect, I no longer have anything to boast about in me.

My ego has shrunk right down to the smallest it’s ever been. Not any ego—we’re talking about the… we’re talking about the… forget the word now, man. What’s the word? Um…

Diabolical. There we go. I’m just tired, sorry, Father. Diabolical ego. It’s shrunk to almost—well—very, very small. Very little. I can’t help others with that process. Because the more the diabolical ego goes out the window, the more self-evident You are.

The only thing in the way between human beings and You is the diabolical ego. It’s the only thing in the way. The only thing in the way is that. When that goes, to the degree it goes, only You are left. So, you know, the fight for the ego…

The fight for the diabolical ego is the preserve of atheism, for example, and everything in between—atheism, agnosticism, or weak Christianity. These people are fighting not to hit rock bottom, which is: they’re fighting their ego. And rock bottom comes in many forms, Father, as You know. Rock bottom isn’t like, you know, you’re smashed on the ground and never to recover. In many ways, just spiritual grace and humility are enough to get you to a certain place of rock bottom, where you have ground zero of diabolical ego. That’s what that is. It doesn’t have to be devastating every time. It doesn’t have to be. But it’s shocking every time. It doesn’t have to be devastating every time. Rock bottom isn’t always devastating. It’s just very, very real—very, very true. Shocking. Shocking, but never—not as in my case and many others’ cases—devastating many times over. As You know, Father, I fought for my diabolical ego viciously—viciously, ruthlessly fought for it. Anyway, by Your grace here we are.

So Father, I leave this prayer with You on one knee, bowed, with bended head—bowed head and bended knee. We repent.

We repent, my Lord. We repent. We pray this through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your love, and please receive ours.

Amen.

God’s grace to you,

Paul S. Waugh

Please Lord, grant us the mercy to use us all, to a man and woman, to use all of our pain, suffering, the tyranny we’ve experienced, to protect and comfort our brothers and sisters for Your glory. Please keep Paul safe for his healing and renewal. Your Glory Lord.

…On bended knee we bow. Amen. Such a strong and accurate prayer. Too many have a diabolical egos, which is the antithesis of the love of Christ. Truly and utterly repent, to strip away the lies, deceit and stories that make us feel comfortable. It has been a hard road learning to repent, to repent with meaning and substance, and to bring ourselves into truth.God bless you for such a loving prayer

The more I’ve been able to see and drop my own ego about how great I am, the more I’ve actually been able to see Gods grace in everything and everyone around me.
I always had a feeling God existed even when I was declaring myself atheist, and I would try and ignore that feeling, but in time I couldn’t stay ignorant and had to admit the truth that God does exist.

Wonderful prayer, very real and very grounded. Once again it highlights the personal responsibility we all have – to put our diabolical egos in check. I look at all that’s wrong in this world and it comes back to a lack of putting egos in check which then leads to selfishness, self-centredness and idolising ourselves.

The impact of spiritual blindness is devastating on humanity and the world, which makes us think we can live without God. I am seeing this is absolutely ridiculous, but I still forget and so need prayers like this as a reminder.

Amen. Thank you for this prayer and please Father help me, help all who see and hear this prayer, to know more clearly how utterly dependent on you we all are and to humble ourselves before you and be humbled by you where necessary to be of greater service to you and those who are vulnerable and in great need.
