Grace and peace in Christ to you,
Here’s today’s Daily Prayer:
Father, thank You so much for this—this little group of growing, loving, and growing in willingness and preparedness; wanting to legitimately, authentically, rightfully, and necessarily suffer. It is a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful growing realisation—a form of a glow in our souls, our hearts, our beings, and our spirit.
We are starting to radiate. We’re starting to radiate love that comes from a place of love, joy, and peace that is centred in You, on You, through You, in Your presence—in Your suffering, in Your joy, in Your love. Your love, Your joy, Your peace do not come without suffering. They are there because of suffering. They are there with suffering, and it always will be. That is the reality.
You are the eternal, infinite, and absolute adult, and You know how to love Your children—and love them, You do. One thing the Lighthouse has to do, Father, is demonstrate to people in a million different ways never to receive Your love without the acknowledgement, or without the experience, of Your suffering for us. That even if we do not yet suffer for You, we experience Yours.
Every word, every joy, every bit of love comes at the price of suffering with You. You have suffered for creation. You suffered to create it, You suffered during it, and You suffer eternally and infinitely with it—because You are a parent. And parents suffer. That is what parents do. If they don’t suffer, they are vamps.
If we do not legitimately and authentically suffer—as parents, for our children, for our mentorees, for our wards—then by its very nature our motive is wrong, and we are wrong for the work. That is the difference. And that is difference that You are.
Father, we pray and suffer with You for how You suffer us. May we grow in our understanding, our feeling, and our knowing of Your suffering. May we love You more, appreciate You more, and be more grateful—more and more and more every day—by increasing our willingness and ability to suffer. Through preparation, through reluctant suffering, we move from selfish children into loving, caring, theochristological adults in Your light, in Your love, in Your presence, in our souls.
We pray for the vulnerable, Father—we suffer for them with You. We pray for our enemies—we suffer for them with You. We suffer for them righteously, legitimately, authentically and necessarily. We suffer for this work. We suffer with You the persecution of all and everyone—not just Christians, but all and everyone who is persecuted. There is no good persecution.
We pray for everyone, even our enemies who are being persecuted. We pray for them and feel the suffering with You. All children, all vulnerable, all animals—we suffer their pain and suffering with them, and we suffer with them through You, with You, for You, as Your body, as You.
Father, with bowed head and bended knee, we repent. May we feel penitent in Your love. May we be contrite, legitimately, authentically, rightfully—and last of all, essentially and necessarily. May we be willing to suffer our lessons, and to suffer for everything and everyone we ought to be suffering with and for, with and for You.
We ask this through Your holy name—our King and Redeemer, our Commander-in-Chief, our mentor, coach, counsellor, leader, and teacher.
Amen.
God’s grace to you,

Lord, please bring me into true love and suffering with You, for You. Thank you Paul for showing me what The Way, The Truth, The Life means. May God keep you safe, protected and highly blessed for His loving glory.
Lord, please continue to teach me how and what it means to suffer for and with you. I pray for your continued guidance. I pray you continue to lead and teach me and all of us, in your name, Amen
Amen. Lord, Father, please bless us with courage and conviction to suffer for what is right, to suffer for the innocent and the vulnerable, and to suffer for our enemies with the love they need. Lord, I know I lack the humility to follow Your commandments here. Thank you, Father, and Paulie, for your heartfelt sharing.
Amen, Father please help me to remember how you suffer too as a parent, how You see Your creations moving further away from You everyday and how this must hurt You because you love perfectly, truly, purely. We praise Your name and I ask for Your forgiveness for turning my back to You often 🙏
Beautiful. Thank you Paul. Father I thank you for Paul and his prayer, and I thank you for the essence of Love that you have preserved in us by your grace. We are learning how, in such an imperfect and sinful world, love means and includes and indeed requires suffering and willingly suffering for what is right for what we love. Please grow and nurture and empower that essential element in us so we may pick up pour cross daily and suffer with you, for you, not apart from you. Help us to love you with all our heart, our mind and our power. In Jesus’ name. Amen 🙏
Thank you, and I pray that I learn to more fully embrace what it means to love, and that I do not shy away from the necessary suffering that helps me grow into a more mature and loving person. God bless us all 🙏🏻
I thank God the suffering He endures through His son Jesus Christ for my sins and I pray that I may suffer with and for Him too. Amen.
Amen – Heavenly Father please help me to appreciate the suffering you have gone through, especially as I go through my day and get lost in the flesh.
Amen. Thank you, Paulie, for this prayer. It speaks of a true willingness to suffer as a valiant soldier in Christ. May we all continue to grow into this way of being, through Him and with Him.
“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in His steps.” (1 Peter 2:21) 🙏
Amen. I appreciate the realisation that God, as our Eternal Father, is one who suffers with and for us. Most notably is the example of Christ’s atonement through enduring the mocking, the betrayal, the persecution and crucifixion as a sinless man who did nothing but good throughout His life on Earth. How blessed we are to have Him as an example to follow.
Phew, thank you Jesus. Make me more like You and more willing to suffer. Amen
