Paul S. Waugh’s Daily Prayer – A Prayer of Humility, Loyalty, and Gratitude Before God – 2nd Jan, 2026

Good evening everyone,

Here’s today’s Daily Prayer:

Father, we are so grateful for Your love, for Your direction, for making our path straight and showing the way in which we ought to walk. And we’re so grateful, Father, that despite ourselves, You know what a mess You have to deal with. I’m so sorry. I’m embarrassed. I—what can I say—I am, you know, with all humility, embarrassed. You know, really.

You know, every day I’m a little bit smaller than before and a little more real, and with that, a little more powerful in You. A little bit more powerful in You. Because every time I shrink to my actual size, You add Your Spirit there and replace the ego. You replace it. My ego with Spirit. My false perception of self with Spirit. That means the smaller I get, the more dynamite—the more spiritual, divine dynamite.

So now I can’t wait to get that little bit smaller. Now here we go—I’ve got to get smaller. You know, I can’t do it quick enough. So I pray that on behalf of my brothers and sisters here, Father. This is our little family, and I will never forget them—to a man, to a woman, to a sister, to a brother here. I will never forget their loyalty to You. I want You to know that. And I want to thank You ahead of this next year.

For answering my prayer—to allow me to stay alive long enough to be in this place, to allow me to serve, to allow me… to answer my prayer where I ask You directly, Father: please don’t let me let these guys down. Please don’t let me let my brothers and sisters, my little family here—our little family here—down. Don’t let me, please don’t—whether it’s through death or whatever it may be, ill health or whatever—please don’t let me let them down.

The only reason why I would let them down is because You don’t want me to be doing with them what I’m doing with them. But You stayed with me, and You stayed with them, and You stayed with us. And You’ve done more than that. You’ve reformed. You’ve changed. You’ve loved.

You know, We’re so blind most of the time. We don’t see it. We don’t feel it. We’re so numb and dumb. And you know, even when we do see it, we don’t see it properly. Never mind—and when we don’t see it, we really don’t see it. So Father, we really thank You for it all—all of this. Please, You know what it is we must say thank You for, that we don’t know, we don’t see, we don’t feel.

But the fact that this next year I can help everyone here that I promised—I promised them that if they invested in themselves there would be opportunities here, and I promised that I would never let them down, no matter how long it took. But the reality is it would take You to decide it wasn’t for us to do this for that to happen. But then I’d be coming back, I’d be coming to You and saying, “Okay, Father.”

We’re going to sell publications and make money that way—whatever we did, we would be adding value through knowledge, encouraging instilled and inspiring action, in Mel’s words. It’s just such a big year to come, and it’s for Your glory if I want to give back to You, if I want to fulfil my promise to these guys at a level of 100%.

Reward their trust. Reward their loyalty, even though they’ve had their moments. Loyalty won the day with this little embattled group here—rag tags, battle-weary, bloodstained, mired in dust. It’s a beautiful thing. Standing together in the arena. A beautiful thing.

But if I want to do it 100% for them, Father, I want to do it with You—eternally and infinitely. I want to give back to You, give You something back. And the reality is, at the level we’re working at, I can’t give back unless You give me the money to buy You Your Christmas present. And I appreciate that, rather than nothing. That’s for sure. Nothing is terrible. This is too important, this work.

Thank You for this. Look after this little group until next year, it’s dangerous times. Look after them, Father. Look after them for You and me—where I can’t, wholly and/or in part—for Your glory, protect these children. Your little, this little group of warriors, sisters and brothers standing together.

I want to thank You for them. You know how angry and disappointed I’ve been with them because of how much I genuinely care and love them, and how desperate I am for them all—so desperate for them to prevail for You, for Your glory first, and to show those who have hated on them, for Your glory.

I’m watching You rebuild us all in front of those who tried to destroy us, and that’s a beautiful thing. So I pray, Father, that by this March we have a million higher-quality True Blues, and that with that we’ll get the other nine million in the next three quarters. I don’t know that—but it makes sense to me numbers-wise—but it’s only me. I know that You know what’s best.

I’d like to be cheeky and say maybe You want all ten million by April, but I won’t be cheeky—I’ll just say that anyway. So therefore it is being a little bit cheeky. But anyway, You know I’m cheeky, Father. I love You dearly. We love You dearly. We thank You sincerely.

And with bowed head and bending knees—shield in hand, sword point in the ground, helmet and shield in hand—on bended knee and bowed head, we repent. I’m so sorry where it’s so hard for You, and for ourselves. And I’m so thankful that You allowed it, because we have grown so much in You.

I feel so blessed for You and these children You’ve shared with me, and with me them, and with them, each other, and with all of, You. I’m extremely grateful for them, beyond, beyond words.

Amen.

God’s grace to you,

Paul S. Waugh

Amen. Beautiful prayer, really touched by your commitment to God and your commitment to us. It’s prayers like this that show me what it means to be a Godly man, to live in the service of others despite trials and tribulations. The Bible is full of examples of those who lived courageously in the face of adversity and today there are few examples. May God bless those boys who need to become men for the protection of women, children and the vulnerable.

Ah, I needed this prayer today. The passion and zeal that come through your love and relationship with God cut deep. Embattled is a very fitting word. Working through my internal constraints, my blocks and obstacles within me, is distressing, but the bridge has to be crossed. Your relationship with God is nurturing, something I know I can have too. God bless you for the work you have done.x x
