Grace and peace in Christ to you,
Note: Given Paul’s longstanding ill health resulting from the multiple attacks on him, these prayers are taken from the last several years of Paul’s journey with our Lord. They are incredibly valuable to witness his ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Father, please bless our day.
Please grace our lives and our day.
Please help us to be grateful for this work. Not to wish this away, but to relish the fight.
To be privileged in it. To stand up with our chins held high in Your glory, in Your honour, in Your protection, in Your love, and let us love constructively. The privilege to love constructively and to suffer for what is right.
What an honour and privilege this is. What honour is here!
So Father, we pray for the vulnerable.
We pray for our enemies.
We pray for humanity.
And we pray in terms of the bottom line that through Your love we optimise the Body.
We optimise it. Quality of quantity. Character competence.
We ask You on bended knee and bowed head. We ask You to forgive us for our many sins and shortcomings. Bowed head and bended knee and we repent, Father.
We leave this in Your love, in Your care, in Your love, in Your constructive love as You construct us through your Son Jesus Christ.
Amen.

The honour to suffer for what is right, Paul is absolutely on point. It is what we who are in Christ are called to and we know Paul has suffered so much at the hands of so many for our Lord, as we all have, but he has taken so much more… Father I pray that you bless this man, your child and servant Paul and strengthen him and fill him with your spirit.
