Greetings in Christ everyone,
Here’s today’s Daily Prayer:
Father, just when I think You can’t be more loving, giving, caring, forgiving—you know, forgiving—generous, compassionate, loving, all-knowing, Master of timing.
You know, Father, as You know, and I say this by way of thanks and repentance, that with contrition and with joy, I feel my ear being pulled in one direction towards You. Sometimes that’s with a hug; sometimes that’s an ear pull with a kick in the butt, but it’s always an ear pull. Sometimes hard, determined, firm; other times gently and with a joke.
I love You, Father. I love every day because of You.
I take the dogs for a walk every day, as You know, Father, and we speak. And in the wilderness, just like You were, walking in the wilderness for forty days and forty nights—no lightweight in the flesh can do that. No lightweight can do that. Goodness gracious me.
And when I walk the dogs, You dazzle me with Your presence on those walks. And the dogs—they can sense You. They know You. They can’t wait for these walks, Father. They’re increasingly—they bark, they yelp, the wolf pack goes mad. Take them for a walk.
And those walks, sometimes with Chris—sometimes without—I take those dogs and I’ve started to realise that they love those walks because of Your presence. Because they used to love a walk before, but never like this. It’s only when I started turning those walks into walking with You, and how beautiful Your—this desert is—this arid land, the ruggedness of it, the animals, the droppings, the dens, the rabbit holes, the hare dens, the bush pigs. You know the ant-eaters, the Pumba’s are out there. Beautiful, man. Beautiful.
And the dogs love Your presence. They know that we’re walking and it’s something more special than their average walk since I’ve brought You into it. It’s just amazing. I can’t wait for every evening at five o’clock when I start my walk in the cool of the day—the cool of the day being thirty-five.
And You Father—the faith, the perspicuity of all that are here—seeing us hanging and removing us from that noose. Yes, with rope burns, but our neck’s intact, our heart’s intact, our being’s intact, and our future bright.
My Lord. Oh my Lord. My Father—our Father, our Commander in Chief—every day, new, deeper, broader, higher opportunity in the context of Your glory. Sure, every day I start to see the Kingdom, not because I’m imagining it, because of Your glory, and the future’s bright. And while the reprobate has to wear shades, we don’t. I’ll leave that with You, Father.
I ask You to bless our call. Grace each one here. Each one of us here—our hearts, our souls, our families—to protect us, to love us. Never have to say no, where we ought to say yes in every one of these glorious areas of Your creation, my Lord.
I ask You this through Your Son, beloved, the glorious Jesus Christ’s name, through asking forgiveness for our sin.
Amen.
God’s grace to you,

Beautiful. God is beautiful. I remember the first time you shared that sentiment. He’s given us such a plethora of colour, taste, variety, creatures, and all creation that we were meant to take dominion and care of. What we have become, yet how loving and merciful He is. Thank you Father for being so merciful with us…
Amen. Such a reverential and heatfelt prayer of gratitude. I could literally picture you with the dogs in the wilderness. Reminds me of the brief time I spent in the Australian Outback. One night I lay on a bench and looked up at the stars in complete awe of the beauty of the Universe. I was atheistic/agnostic at the time, but that experience left a mark when I came to look at the reality of God a few years later…
Amen – Thank you for a very loving prayer reminding us of the gift of life God has given us. Heavenly Father please help us to come closer to you x x
Amen 🙏
God is with us at all times and He is present in all things. Thank you for sharing such a vivid picture of your own private time and worship with our Lord.
Amen!
“You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore” – Psalm 16:11
Your love pours outs with every prayer i hear. Thank you and God bless you…Amen!
Beautiful to hear of your walks with the dogs and with God Paul. Those times with Him, alone, amidst His creation are so vital and so precious. Thank you Father for your glorious mercy, steadfast love and unimaginable glory 🙏
I pray that we get to a place where we never have to say no, where we ought to say yes. Thank you as well, Paul, for sharing about the dogs and it’s wonderful to hear how spiritually connecting your walks are and about the difference it makes to be connected to Christ.
What a beautiful, loving, hearted prayer. Walking with God, the wolf pack enjoying the walk because God is with you all, beautiful 🙏
Father, I want to walk with you everyday, to enjoy the beauty of what you have created and given us. Help me to open my eyes to the beauty around me that is you.
Amen x x
Amen. Thank you for the reminder to walk with God even in the wilderness — to hold onto gratitude, to repent honestly, and to trust Him through every season.
