Paul S. Waugh’s Daily Prayer – A Prayer of Gratitude, Dependence, and Obedient Service – 22nd Dec, 2025

James 1:27

Good evening everyone,

Here’s today’s Daily Prayer:

Father, I just have a short prayer to thank you again for this. Thank you. Thank you for your protections.

Father, without you, we wouldn’t be solving this problem. I wouldn’t be here taking this on if it wasn’t for you. I wouldn’t even be here to be attacked if it wasn’t for you, because no one takes on this work with a faint heart or without your Spirit. It’s just not possible. People have tried before. I’m doing a study now where somebody tried to bring this in 110 years ago and failed—failed spectacularly. The book’s called In the Firing Line, for goodness’ sake. In the firing line were schools. A whole study with recommendations.

So, Father, I just want to say that without you, this wouldn’t be possible. One hundred percent, it wouldn’t be possible. No one could possibly do this without you.

You have a reason, most certainly, for your body, that we can serve, yoked up, arm in arm, and that we, as the body of Christ, can fulfil your directives, your commissions, your commandments—where we never have to say no, at any time, to anyone whom, by your commandment, by your decree, by your stipulations, by your edicts, you call us to help and serve: friend, foe, enemy, old, elderly, parentless, orphans, whatever it may be—the starving, the hungry, the sick, the lame, and even the lazy.

Where people are not being helped and are being preyed upon by a society that educates people according to who they are born to. If you’re born to the working class, you’re educated a certain way. It’s exceptional if you rise above that level.

You, Father, are stepping in on this, because helping widows and orphans, loving our enemy, loving our neighbour, and loving you with all our hearts, souls, minds, and beings is as broad as it is high, as it is deep, as it is substantial—eternally and infinitely so.

And we thank you, Father. We ask you, with bowed head and on bended knee, to accept our repentance, and we ask for your protection, including for our enemies.

So, Father, we ask you this through your Son, Jesus Christ’s name.

Amen.

God’s grace to you,

Paul S. Waugh

Please Lord, help us to know the real meaning of Christmas and give from our hearts to those who need it. In our homes, neighbourhoods, the unseen. Thank you for equipping us with everything we need Father. Thank you Jesus for your life and sacrifice.

Amen 🙏 Thank you, Paul, for this deeply moving prayer. It reminds me to pause and reflect on how much of our work and service is only possible through God’s guidance and protection. May we continue to rely on Him, serve faithfully, and grow in love for others, even in the most challenging circumstances.

Amen!!! Lord, watch over those who sacrificing in your name to glorify and honour you, Father. Empower them to help others. In this season where people in name of thank giving become more distant from you, please touch their hearts so that know true giving. God bless…

Thank you Paul, God bless you. God is our light and our guide, our shepherd through the darkness without whom we would be so lost! Father thank you for your love, your light and your direction and please help us to obey your commandments and look after the widows, the orphans, the vulnerable and the destitute of this world for your glory. In Jesus’ name 🙏

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Amen. I’ve found that the real transformation (and challenges) started to happen when coming to see the reality of Christ. In many ways this work and what we’re seeking to do is only possible through Christian faith. I have seen and heard many trying to get something off the ground to make a meaningful difference in the education system… including those working in international charities backed by major corporations. Not possible and learning more why that is! Godspeed God’s Kingdom.
