Grace and peace in Christ to you,
Note: Given Paul’s longstanding ill health resulting from the multiple attacks on him, these prayers are taken from the last several years of Paul’s journey with our Lord. They are incredibly valuable to witness his ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Listen below for the prayer:
Father, we ask You to help us to repent, and to repent properly, to repent deeply, to repent with humility and contrition.
To allow Your spirit in, because from my experience, nothing keeps Your spirit away more than the terrible-two arrogance, not any arrogance, terrible-two arrogance, terrible-two conceitedness, terrible-two entitlement.
That sort of terrible-two childish toddler-based pride.
Nothing keeps serious, serious spirit away from a human being than childish, entitled, infantile, institutionalised pride.
Not murder, not rape, not child abuse. Nothing keeps the spirit away from a human being more than the pride of a child, of a toddler, of an idiot that is supposed to have grown up and hasn’t! Nothing keeps Your Spirit away from a human being, from that human being manifesting everything that he does that succeeds, or she does that succeeds, because despite imperfection at almost a total level, everything we do succeeds because of your Spirit, Your Holy Spirit. It’s holy, not quarterly, Holy.
Father, you know, these old infants A.K.A. scientists, who admit they know less than one percent of the human being, can tell you that it came from nothing, they know less than one percent of the human being, and they can say that we came from some pool.
No evidence, they know nothing about the human body that’s in front of them, Father, the being in the body that You created, they know less than one percent!
After all this time, that is what humility is, humility is not jumping on the bandwagon of terrible-two arrogance, terrible-two stroppiness, being a terrible to abstropolistic fool, it means we’re grounded.
That’s what humility means, grounded, it means we’re bringing ourself below the idea of ourselves, and bringing to reality, below the level that we’re at. Hence this is how you… by becoming human, becoming way less than his eternal and infinite power, that can create any size rock in eternity and infinity, and can carry it! To become a man, not being able to carry one zillionth, trillionth of that weight. Humility is… humility is dropping below the level you are to be kind to someone else, to be loving to a child, dropping below the level, your level, and being willing to play silly and childish games with a child.
Because it’s a child, and you love that child, and you care for that child, and you want to make that child, you want to be involved in that child’s peace and happiness, and feelings of fortitude and safety. So we drop our attitude, we don’t walk around like we deal with our enemies with a child, because your child was naughty, we deal with it differently. It’s humbling ourselves, to even discipline a child, to play with a child, at the level of a child, means humbling ourselves.
Humility is broad and it’s deep, and mankind, you know, just true to themselves as reprobates, think humility means weak, meekness means weakness.
Oh no, well let’s see how strong they are in hell, because when they’re lying, after their charade for the day is over, and they’re lying at the ceiling, looking at it, in bed at the ceiling, and looking at it, it all comes… the hens come home to roost.
Mankind who knows less than one percent about anything, can make the assertion, that there’s nothing, well no wonder, Father, no wonder, they come up with nothing, knowing less than one percent. No wonder!
The law of diminishing returns is kicked in, because along with arrogance of a child, of a toddler, not some, highfalutin arrogance, the arrogance they are trying to sell You, or me, or them, or Satan. It’s a, it’s a terrible-twos, infantile, stroppy, attention-seeking, brand-building charade.
Father, we’re so grateful for You, and we’re building in our gratefulness, we pray to help us be more grateful, let Your light shine for Your glory, because through Your glory, when the right person, as You know, sees Your glory, they can never unsee it.
They can never roll over, go back to sleep, so it keeps you awake for a week, to see Your glory, when you see it, and you increasingly see it, how can you not want it and not be demonic?! How can you not want it, and not have sold out, how can you not want it, unless you’re willing to cut your nose off, Father, my Lord, to spite your face!
Father, You have it all, how fortunate to be involved with a Father, who’s eternal and infinite, and knows it all!
Can see, and knows inside, outside, inside in, outside, outside in, inside out, outside out! Every single thing that happens in this fishbowl of Yours, this universal fishbowl, and we’re one little, little bit of grit at the bottom, travelling around the light in the tank, in one very small corner of it. You know it all! And we don’t have to know it all, but You do!
Thank You my Lord, we repent, for Your glorious name, our Commander-in-Chief, our Father, our Lord, our Dad, Jesus Christ,
Amen.
Godβs grace to you,

This has been very very timely and appropriate for me today. Realising more how little I know, how I have not been educated to realise my value and my potential from God our Father. Thank you Paul, thank You Father God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit x
Amen. We cannot hear this prayer enough. Thank you for the clarity and the honesty and the realness of this prayer. God bless you and us all π in His name, amen
Thank You, Lord. I pray that You help me become more grounded and rooted in Your truth. May Your Holy Spirit work through me. Teach me to serve with humility, compassion, and wisdom, and help me grow in love so that I can better care for those in need.
Amen. Whenever I read with how God wants to be, I am humbled. I live with hubris, with arrogance and with pride. I feel the need to repent when I realise how I miss the mark of God’s perfection, when I sin because of my condition. This prayer is another vital reminder.
Amen. This prayer is such a powerful reminder to seek true humility before God, not just outward appearances. As James 4:10 says, βHumble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.β It challenges me to check my heart daily and live with genuine reverence and dependence on Him.
Amen – this a powerful call to embrace the reality of how broken we are since our fall from grace.
Thank You Lord! I pray for greater humility every day. Amen
Amen π
Makes me so humble and reverential to think of how God humbled Himself to come and walk amongst us, to live as a human being and to be so betrayed and murdered for us. “The greatest among you shall be your servant.” Matthew 23:11! Thank you so much Father, all glory be to you the most high who stooped so low in order to offer us redemption through our Lord. What incredible love you have! You ARE! ποΈπβ€οΈ
