God Help You Catrin Nye Commentary: Part Six — Why Didn’t Catrin Nye Show You What Paul’s Letter Actually Says?

Catrin Nye has posted an Instagram video trying to diabolically control the optics of the dire situation the BBC is in.

You literally cannot script it. The day after our commentary yesterday covered how the BBC are constantly trying to control the diabolical optics to evade the truth, Catrin Nye tries to do exactly that! Literally a living case study.

It’s not just Catrin; the BBC’s new Director General, Matt Brittin, said today that the BBC is trusted by over half a billion people. Really, Mr Brittin?! Last year a survey said only 25% of people in the UK trust the BBC, never mind the rest of the world. And those who do trust you don’t REALLY know who you are. BUT that is changing rapidly! You can’t keep spewing out the same optics when it is blatantly not true!

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32

Back to Ms Nye’s Instagram clip. It is not an examination of my open letter, no surprise there. It is an optical presentation to contort your perception of herself, the BBC, myself and Lighthouse Global.

She presents herself as the brave investigative journalist whose work has been vindicated. She presents the BBC as the institution of “good investigative journalism.” She presents Lighthouse as “the cult” that will not stop. And she presents my open letter not through what it actually says, but through its length, its title, the fact that it was sent and the number of people it was sent to.

That is the presentation.

But is it the truth?

It is true that we will not stop… we will not stop in our work to peacefully confront and stop the life-destruction work of the BBC, which includes achieving corrections and compensation across the board. This includes, but is not limited to, the points below:

1. Calling out how and why the BBC engages in life-destruction work. Peacefully opposing it for the protection of ourselves and fellow citizens.

2. Exposing the falsehoods broadcast by the BBC to millions (in the case of A Very British Cult and other BBC productions).

3. Peacefully campaigning for a full, fair and comprehensive right of reply to all false claims made in A Very British Cult.

4. Revealing the reality of the BBC Savile Syndrome covering up heinous wrongdoing, which includes (but is not limited to) the sexual abuse of children by BBC staff and contractors.

5. Seeking truth, justice and compensation for all who have been wronged and abused by the BBC.

6. Pursuing a Class Action Lawsuit that will ensure there is justice and compensation for the lies, propaganda and deception that the BBC has broadcast to hundreds of millions across the globe.

7. Lobbying the UK Government to refuse to renew the BBC’s Royal Charter in 2027.

8. Praying for Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, their families and all at the BBC. We pray for their repentance, their salvation and that they may know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

What Is Catrin Nye Presenting — and Why?

An optical presentation directs the audience towards a desired conclusion without allowing them to examine everything that could change it.

Catrin tells viewers that I sent her a 6,000-word letter titled God Help You, Catrin Nye. But she does not show them a single substantive example from it. She does not explain its central evidential challenge. She does not show its condemnation of harassment or physical harm. She does not show its offer of peaceful resolution. She does not ask viewers to read it and decide for themselves.

Why not?

Why describe the letter’s length but not its argument? Why repeat its title without explaining its meaning? Why direct viewers back to the BBC’s production while withholding the actual words challenging that production?

Because if viewers encounter what the letter actually says, they confront a radically different reality from the one her video presents.

They encounter a man asking why the BBC will not face the evidence.

They would discover a direct challenge to bring the claims, sources and records into an independently structured discourse. They would also read my explicit rejection of threats and abuse. They would learn of my continuing concern for Catrin Nye as a human being and soul before God. And they would appreciate that my door remains open to truth, correction, repentance, repair and reconciliation.

That is what the optical presentation keeps out of view.

What Does the Letter Actually Say?

My letter categorically does not ask anyone to threaten, harass or harm Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett or their families. It says the opposite:

“Myself and everyone at Lighthouse Global implore all fellow citizens not to harass or harm Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett or their families in any way, including sending death threats and abusive messages.” — Open letter, Section 1, paragraph 6.3

My letter does not refuse scrutiny. It invites it:

“Let us fight for truth together: two opponents in combat where the sole winner is truth.” — Open letter, Section 2, paragraph 4

It asks why the BBC and those whose claims shaped A Very British Cult will not enter that encounter:

“It’s not the first time I’m suggesting to you, Catrin, to have this out publicly, only to be faced with a wall of weaponised silence by you and the BBC. What happened to your Charter to have public debate? Bring your false sources and Lighthouse accusers in.” — Open letter, Section 2, paragraph 3

These are not peripheral sentences. They express the governing purpose of the letter: put both accounts into the light and let truth expose every falsehood — including any falsehood of ours at Lighthouse.

Why Didn’t Catrin Nye Show You the Letter?

Catrin’s video supplies emotional cues about the letter before viewers know what it contains.

But what happens when the public reads it?

The public discovers that the dispute did not begin with a letter. It began with approximately five hours of BBC programming which contains at least 140 documented falsehoods, omissions and distortions. It began with an institution spending approximately 18 months supposedly investigating people whose evidence could not possibly be answered through a few tightly controlled final words.

As I wrote:

“What you actually offered us were a few conditional, final words before you pulled the trapdoor on the production, hooded and roped.” — Open letter, Section 5, paragraph 1

What statement in my letter is false? What evidence is misrepresented? Which chronology is wrong? Which material claim can the BBC disprove through the complete contemporaneous record?

Catrin’s video does not answer those questions. It discourages viewers from looking at these questions and analysing them for themselves.

That is why the omission matters. The letter is damning for Catrin Nye and the BBC not because its author says so, but because it asks questions they have still not answered and proposes an examination they have still not accepted.

Catrin, Why Are the BBC Doing This to You?

Catrin, why are the BBC allowing — or requiring — you to carry this?

Why are you being left as the visible human face of approximately five hours of institutional programming involving reporters, producers, editors, lawyers, executives and BBC boards?

Why are you presenting another optical defence while the institution behind you remains silent about the substance of my open letter?

Why are the BBC doing this to you?

Concern for you does not remove your responsibility. Responsibility does not remove our concern for you. I remain concerned about what your choices have done to Lighthouse, what they have done to the public record and what they may be doing to your conscience (if you still even have one), your relationship with truth and your journey to Christ.

The BBC is an institution. You are a human being.

Whatever protection the BBC’s authority appears to offer you now, you remain personally accountable before God, truth, conscience, law and your fellow citizens for what you chose, what you presented, what you omitted and what you continue to defend.

So why keep carrying an institution’s unresolved false public record when you could help resolve it?

Why Don’t You Sit Down and Resolve This?

Catrin, why don’t you sit down and resolve this?

Bring the BBC’s strongest claims. Bring the principal sources. Bring the evidence. Myself and Lighthouse will bring our complete records and the full context. Let neither side control the edit. Give both sides equivalent opportunity to present, question and answer. Let every falsehood — including any falsehood of ours — be exposed for the world to see and the public to have an educated opinion.

If the BBC’s journalism is sound, let an open examination establish that. If Lighthouse is wrong, let the evidence expose us for all to see. If the BBC’s account is false, the public must see that too. Remember, the British public pay every penny of your salary and cover the full cost of every piece of work you produce!

My letter does not close the door:

Why will you not walk through this door?

Has Anyone at the BBC Admitted One Material Falsehood?

There is one question that cuts through every carefully controlled image:

Since this began, have Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, the BBC or the principal sources publicly acknowledged one material falsehood, omission, distortion, unfair characterisation or failure in the right-of-reply process?

Not one among at least 140 documented falsehoods, omissions and distortions?

Not one material error across approximately five hours of programming?

Not one source whose account required correction or greater scrutiny?

If such an acknowledgement exists, identify it, and we will correct this statement immediately.

If it does not, the public should ask what kind of journalism claims absolute authority to investigate and judge others while appearing incapable of admitting one material mistake of its own.

Lighthouse does not claim that immunity.

We must submit our words, motives, evidence and conduct to scrutiny. We must admit and correct what is wrong. Repentance begins with us before we call anyone else to it.

What the Video Could Not Show

Catrin’s video presents an image. My letter presents an evidential challenge.

She showed the image. She did not show the challenge.

That is the central fact readers should hold onto.

Do not accept my description of the letter. Do not accept Catrin Nye’s description of it. Read the complete open letter and decide for yourself. Examine its words, evidence, questions and proposed remedy. Then ask why a journalist committed to “good investigative journalism” did not show her audience any substantive example from the document she was characterising.

Catrin Nye herself has said in another social media post, “ChatGPT can summarise 10,000 words in seconds, but if you want to be a good journalist I think you usually need to read the 10,000 words. It means you truly understand the subject matter, see the human nuance a machine might miss, find the hidden gem of a detail.”

I’m not asking Catrin to do anything exceptional; I’m asking her to hold herself to the very journalistic standards she preaches to fellow and aspiring journalists.

My open letter — God Help You, Catrin Nye — is not a curse or disguised threat. It is a prayer, a warning, and a call to face what has been done before God, truth and the human beings carrying the consequences.

As I wrote:

“Remember, there is always Christ. There is always the solid rock of truth.” — Open letter, Section 3, paragraph 9

Catrin, that rock remains available to all of us. Sit down with us. Face the evidence. Correct what is false — on either side of the story you created. Repair what can still be repaired. Let truth — not optics, institutional power or personal victory — be the sole winner.

Do you see how carefully this article is prepared and presented?

Do you see how true it is?

The answers to such questions is why the BBC did not allow myself and the team at Lighthouse Global to be involved in the production of their so-called documentary about Lighthouse Global.

In an alleged 18-month sham of a so-called investigation, they tried to hide it from us until two months before broadcast. However, we had discovered their insidious agenda more than 6 months before broadcast and immediately approached them, stating we wanted to be involved.

They initially ignored us because they didn’t want us to be fairly involved in a hit piece about us. In their words, “It is not BBC practice to respond to enquiries of this kind”. In other words, we couldn’t be part of their planned assassination of us. Finally, they deceived the British public by denying that we had proactively approached them for months, even though we have full evidence of this!

Since discovering the broadcast in August 2022, we have spent 4 years demanding the BBC give us a comprehensive right to reply by broadcasting our full evidence to all 140+ false claims made in A Very British Cult, with the same time, effort and money as our false accusers.

I have asked countless times for myself, Paul S. Waugh, who is behind the 22 years of empirical research at Lighthouse Global, to present the full facts, evidence and context live and unedited in real time under the bright lights of the studio. I have challenged the BBC to bring their best journalists, their lawyers, all their sources, all their experts and all their evidence. I’ll bring mine and the aim of this would be simple: to get to the truth.

Yet they simply won’t entertain this, because it was a hit piece.

We’ve demanded this comprehensive right to reply, we’ve pursued all the formal complaint channels, we’ve taken legal advice, we’ve campaigned, we’ve written, we’ve protested, we’re now lobbying, we’re now advocating and doing advocacy work as well as building institutes.

Why?

In order that we, as Christians and members of the public, in the public and human interest, are able to correct the falsified public record.

It’s got to the stage where they cannot even afford to bring attention to our website through their continued efforts in trying to destroy us.

They know that whatever they do is validating us. Any attention they create makes us even more relevant, because we are relevant. As our articles show, our research and work is wholeheartedly in the public interest because it is in the human interest, and ultimately in God’s interest, for His Glory.

Whenever they publish some trash about us, they drive hordes of people to our websites, especially those who are seeking the truth.

As a result they’ve even removed the TV broadcast of A Very British Cult from BBC iPlayer. They’ve been talking about doing a follow-up series for years now, but it keeps getting delayed because they can’t have a real, evidence-based conversation with me.

They simply cannot afford to give us the same time, money, resources and reach to respond to their provably slanderous falsehoods.

We have the evidence in hundreds of thousands of pages to counter their nonsense and the BBC know it.

There’s only one way they can put out as many falsehoods as they have about someone like us. That’s when the party they’re smearing has no voice, no reach and doesn’t have the same resources as the BBC.

Yet for the BBC to atrociously abuse and lie about members of the public, us and others, means we don’t owe them a licence fee. They owe us a refund, and they owe us compensation!

This is not just for us at Lighthouse Global, it’s for the entire British public who’ve been deceived for the last 100 years. We will expose every lie that the public has been forced to pay for.

This will be the work of the institutions that we’re creating.

Through the Class Action Lawsuit we’re now starting against the BBC, the public will get a refund for licence fees paid over at least the last 10 years.

Simply put, the truth cannot be this dispensable in the public interest and in the human interest.
