“So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.” — Romans 14:12
Imagine waking up one morning to find that the person you are, the work you have given your life to and the relationships you have spent years building have been replaced in the public mind by a manufactured identity.
Your own words no longer characterise you. Your evidence is kept outside the frame. Strangers condemn you because of a programme simply because they trust the institution that broadcast it. Employers, friends and even family begin responding not to you, but to the caricature they have been shown.
Then imagine being told that no individual is truly responsible for this Life Destruction. The journalist was only doing their job. The producers followed a process. The executives relied on their teams. The institution acted through its procedures. Everyone participated, but somehow nobody is personally accountable.
That is how Life Destruction acquires a hidden, unchallengeable power.
This is why my open letter, “God Help You, Catrin Nye”, is about far more than one journalist. Catrin Nye and the BBC are the immediate case, but the greater danger is the growing number of life-destructive predators who are willing to offer fellow citizens as sacrifices on the altar of wokeism and political agendas. They then hide behind process, ‘public interest’, mainstream journalism practices and institutional power.

This Is About Human Beings, Not Abstract Institutions
The BBC is an institution. It cannot investigate, write, edit, accuse, omit, broadcast or refuse correction by itself. Human beings do those things.
Individuals select sources. Individuals decide whose pain matters and whose doesn’t. Individuals decide which evidence enters the production and which evidence never reaches the public. Individuals decide whether the target remains recognisably human or is reduced to a morally dubious object of contempt.
That is why I wrote directly, human-to-human. In Section 3, paragraph 1 of my letter, I explained:
“I am writing this letter to you directly, human-to-human, to address the absolute core of the crisis that exists between us and the resultant BBC/Nye life destruction campaign and countered by myself and the Lighthouse anti-life-destruction campaigners.”
An institution may multiply the reach of Life Destruction, but the institution does not erase the human decisions beneath it. The greater its authority, resources and public trust, the more seriously we must examine the people directing that power.
The Altar of Wokeism
By wokeism, I do not mean every concern about unfairness, discrimination or suffering. Christians must preserve justice and oppose genuine injustice wherever it occurs: “Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favouritism to the great, but judge your neighbour fairly.” (Leviticus 19:15). But truth does not become less important because a cause presents itself as emotive or compassionate.
The wokeism I am describing is an ideological system that separates society into morally protected victims and morally disposable targets. Once someone has been assigned to the condemned category, accusation begins to function as proof. Context becomes obstruction. Contrary evidence becomes dangerous. The destruction of the designated target can then be presented as public service.
The sacrifice is another human life.
The altar is ideological righteousness.
The rewards may be institutional approval, professional status, audience, awards, career advancement or the intoxicating conviction that destroying the “wrong” citizen makes us one of the “right” people.
This mechanism is larger than Catrin Nye. She is one visible case through which we can examine it. It appears whenever a person treats another citizen’s reputation, livelihood, family, health and future possibility as expendable in service of a preferred narrative.
That is why Scripture does not permit us to spread a false report merely because our side believes the target deserves it:
“Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness.” — Exodus 23:1
The command is personal. Do not. You shall not. We do not escape it by joining a crowd, serving an employer or acting beneath a prestigious institutional name.
None of Us Can Hide
This standard must be applied symmetrically.
None of us at Lighthouse can hide behind Lighthouse. If I act wrongly, Lighthouse does not absolve me. If one of our people speaks falsely, follows blindly or harms another person, collective loyalty cannot wash away individual responsibility. We must answer under the authority of Jesus Christ before we demand answers from anyone else.
The same standard applies to Catrin Nye. She cannot hide behind the BBC. Jamie Bartlett cannot hide behind the production. Producers cannot hide behind editors. Editors cannot hide behind lawyers. Executives cannot hide behind internal procedure. The BBC cannot hide behind the individuals whose work it commissioned, approved, distributed and protected.
Institutional responsibility and personal responsibility run together. Neither cancels the other.
In Section 4, paragraph 1.3, I wrote directly:
“Catrin, you cannot escape personal liability for life destruction forever.”
This is not a declaration of personal vengeance in the slightest. It is the basic moral reality on which any decent society depends. Every individual remains responsible for what they choose, know, conceal, enable and do.
In the final analysis, there is no institutional body large enough for a human soul to disappear inside.
This Was Not an Honest Mistake Made in Ignorance
Most readers will not yet know this case in detail. Some may therefore wonder whether Catrin Nye was herself misled — whether she became caught up in other people’s claims or made an honest journalistic mistake.
That explanation does not survive considering the evidence she possessed.
Catrin Nye and the BBC had approximately 16,000 pages of documentation stolen by Dawn Ingram from Lighthouse Global. They included intensely confidential counselling and mentoring records, Lighthouse’s intellectual property and records of group meetings. Within and amongst the very material used against myself and Lighthouse was evidence contradicting the malicious claims later broadcast about them.
The decisive evidence was not in any way beyond her reach. She possessed it. She had access to the very material contradicting the imposed story. Yet the BBC still delivered its crushing global blow with the authority, reach and repetition of one of the world’s most powerful broadcasters.
This was not ignorance. No journalist can be excused as merely mistaken when the evidence contradicting the broadcast narrative was already in their hands.
Why the Letter Is Raw
Some readers will find the open letter painful, even angry or uncomfortable. It is. Life Destruction is not a clean academic concept when it has entered your home, your body, your relationships and the future you were trying to build.
I made that explicit in Section 1, paragraph 6.2:
“This document has been written directly from the heart, shaped by the raw, lived reality of the last 3.5 years.”
But rawness must not be confused with malice. I also made clear that everyone at Lighthouse Global implores fellow citizens not to harass or harm Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett or their families or anyone else at the BBC in any way. Threats, abuse and intimidation are not the answer to Life Destruction. They reproduce it.
The purpose is truth, accountability, repentance and repair. As I wrote in Section 1, paragraph 6.6:
“This is not written out of malice, but out of a sincere love, care, and concern for the restoration of truth and fairness in our society.”
Christian love is not indifference to falsehood. It does not require the wounded to remain silent so that those with greater power remain comfortable. Scripture tells us: “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them” (Ephesians 5:11).
Exposure must remain truthful. Accountability must remain peaceful. Correction must remain directed towards stopping Life Destruction and making repair possible.
The Reader Is Not Merely a Spectator
It would be convenient to treat this as a distant battle between Lighthouse and the BBC. It is not.
Every public Life Destruction campaign depends upon an audience. It needs citizens willing to believe without examining, repeat without verifying and condemn without hearing. It needs employers, neighbours, family members and online strangers to keep echoing the campaign slogans into all aspects of ordinary life.
Many people I have helped contacted me privately after the BBC’s broadcasts. They wanted to speak publicly about what they experienced and what I did for them. Yet many also said, in substance: “I would love to say something, but I am worried about my family. They will come after me next.”
That fear helps manufacture apparent consensus. Supporters remain silent not because they have nothing truthful or vindicating to say, but because they have seen what happens to anyone who challenges the prevailing institutional narrative. Their silence is then treated as confirmation of the story that frightened them into silence.
If that seems remote, try publicly defending someone marked out for Life Destruction by a powerful establishment institution. You may discover how quickly the firing line moves towards you. Institutional Life Destruction attacks its immediate target and warns every witness that they may be next.
That means each of us faces a series of interconnected questions:
What will you do when an institution you trust identifies another citizen as someone you are now permitted to publicly despise? Will you jump on the bandwagon? Or will you ask what evidence was excluded? Will you listen to the person behind the label? Will you seek them out? Will you apply the same standard to the accuser that you apply to the accused? Or will you help carry the sacrifice to the altar?
Personal responsibility begins long before we become the journalist, producer or executive. It begins when we choose whether to believe, repeat, reward, excuse, ignore or resist Life Destruction.
The Beginning of a Continuing Public Record
This first letter is not the completion of the case. It opens the public record.
In Section 8, paragraph 1, I wrote:
“This is merely the opening chapter of a highly organised, continuous, and multi-voiced campaign explicitly targeted to expose the evil of your life destruction in the ‘public interest’…”
The articles that follow will examine the human consequences, the manufactured public identity, the claimed right of reply, the evidence the public did not see, the continuing refusal to test the strongest claims openly and what genuine rectification would require.
But the foundation comes first.
I cannot hide behind Lighthouse Global and nor can its Associates. Catrin Nye and Jamie Bartlett cannot hide behind the BBC. BBC decision-makers cannot hide behind journalists or procedures. Members of the public cannot hide behind having trusted a famous institution.
Each of us must decide whether we will participate in Life Destruction, remain silent before it or stand in the truth against it.
The door remains open to calm, mature dialogue. The call remains one of repentance, correction, restitution and repair. Jesus Christ remains the governing authority because He is not merely a method for discovering truth. He is the Truth.
God help every one of us to answer honestly for what we have done with the lives of our fellow citizens.
God bless,
Paul S. Waugh

Really valuable to appreciate Paul’s letter to Catrin Nye in more depth and detail. The point that she had the evidence is a huge one. It was certainly a shock to hear that thousands of pages of transcripts were stolen by Dawn Ingram. Yet despite all that material, the BBC had to manipulate recordings to make anything appear bad! Meanwhile, imagine what goes on behind the scenes at the BBC for so many abusers to have worked there. I pray for this open letter to Catrin Nye to lead to repentance and meaningful change… for the sake of her, eternity and her family.
I really value this commentary and to further expose the workings of the Establishment and how the system is set up to make it easy for people to hide and to avoid accountability. It is crucial that we take individual responsibility for our actions and stand up against the demonic life-destruction of the Establishment. Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing this. Giving perspective on your open letter to Catrin Nye. I value his you have broken it down, more to the point, helping us to feel the life destruction that has been done and therefore why the open letter was necessary. What hits a nerve is how someone remains silent even though they know the accusations they are hearing are false. I can see, as you have pointed out, the life destruction in how, staying silent renders us powerless against the establishment and keeps us under their control. To break away from that, we need to stand up for the truth.
As Christian’s, we can’t sit back and allow persecution of another human being, like what has happened to you Paul. We need to stand up, with Christ, and fight.
Very powerful article. God bless us all…Amen
Power piece! Thank you, Paul. Those who hold positions of great responsibility within the society we live in must take that responsibility extremely seriously, as we all should, but especially those in positions that have such a significant impact on the public, as Ms Nye and the BBC do and have done.
I really appreciate the standard you are holding and the line that is being drawn. God bless you. Lots of love x x
Thank you Paul. It is extremely valuable and critical to make it explicitly clear that personal choices that have been made, whether within or outside an institution, have to be accounted for. You can’t make choices to manipulate substantial evidence to suit a nefarious narrative and then claim you were “just doing your job” and hide behind an institution when rightfully held accountable to your claims. You can’t claim you have produced something in the name of the public interest and then not give a right of reply. There is so much more than this that has been done and the destruction of life that Catrin Nye has personally been involved in, has to be held accountable, as we are doing and will continue to.
Catrin Nye still remains unrepentant for her actions but it does not mean that we have not held those actions up to the light of truth and what it is revealing is extremely dark and ugly. For the sake of her Eternity, we pray she will one day take personal responsibility and repent of her heinous wrongdoing.
I appreciate the rawness and honesty of what you’re writing here Paul. You’re not pretending with any kind of virtue or papering over cracks or pain etc, but it is so important than in spite of those feelings that the effort is made to resolve this situation which is what you are clearly doing. Thank you for all you are doing and I pray that they respond to it rather than doing what they have been which is to blatantly ignore us
As you say, no one can hide from God, and the evidence that The BBC holds about Lighthouse shows what the intention of the organisation is and the work it does. To misrepresent Lighthouse and it’s associates as it has, shows the malevolent and agenda driven intentions of Catrin Nye and her superiors.
How things are set up it’s not for the little man, the Establishment are controlling the system and their minions often avoid accountability, unless is part of the plan to look like things are right.
